ZenCom Android – Issues due to restrictive policies (energy saving, WIFI, …)
Every Android version starts including new power-saving options that may limit, by default, the autonomy of some apps.
This affects the capability of the app to receive calls when the app is closed or running in background.
Under some circumstances, the O.S. may optimize its own resources as considered, beyond the energy settings. This depends on each manufacturer and it is inevitable. But in order to make ZenCom as functional as possible in this regard, checking and modifying the following options, if needed, is highly convenient.
According to the customization layer of each device and the Android version, it is possible to access these option in different ways. Below, an example of those that at least should be taken into account. Any other option given by the manufacturer that may condition the correct app functioning will also be susceptible to be checked.
For additional information, there are help sites on the web with examples of options to check, such as: https://dontkillmyapp.com/ which contains more specific details on some manufacturers and versions of Android".
